I was waiting for somebody to bring up the 350x.-The- only other three wheeler worth mentioning, from a performance perspective. The biggest pain with the 250r was having to mix the gas. I don't have any of those bikes anymore, just two 300 4x4's, a 200sx for the kids and another foreman 450 that I'm building an engine for. I started on a atc 110, had a 185 that had a 200x top end, a 200x that had a built up engine, a 300ex that I bought brand new and a foreman 4x4. That thing was scary fast, a 350x had more bottom end but when the 250r got on the pipe and hooked up it would blow it away it a race. I had a 250 r like that for a couple years, one of many Honda atcs that I owned. I’ve made up my mind if I wanna go fast I’ll find a two stroke. Have to keep up the upper end, and lower end needs freshening up too often for my liking as well. They are quick alright but the downside is they don’t stay together so long. I’ve put a little time in on my 2 nephew’s 450Rs, bike and quad. You never lost the feeling of speed with a two stroke 500! Nothing on earth is like riding a big bore two stroke!! The new 450s are faster because they are so smooth, You loose the feeling of speed till You get in trouble. I stayed a gear higher everywhere and just tried to stay on. Then I got in a big loose berm and was a gear high.that thing shot out of it like a rocket! I knew then it was much stronger than Mine. For a few laps I didn't really think it was much faster than My 84 CR250.

I rode it for 20 minutes on an all sawdust track after a full day of races. A guy from Poplar Bluff bought the first water cooled CR, I think it was a 500 up from a 480, after the races I hung out and He let Me ride it. A true beast, all the big bore two strokes were animals.
